Keep line and phase values straight

Three identical 20 Ω resistors form a balanced star load on a 400 V RMS line-to-line supply. What is the line current?

Check your answer

Each resistor receives 400 / √3 ≈ 230.94 V. Phase current is 230.94 / 20 ≈ 11.55 A. In star, line current equals phase current, so it is also 11.55 A. Using 400 / 20 would mistakenly apply line voltage to a single phase.
